En juin 2017, la première volée d’étudiantes et d’étudiants du nouveau Bachelor en Danse Contemporaine à la Manufacture – Haute école des arts de la scène concluront leurs études.

Durant leur formation de 3 ans, ils ont entraîné des formes de mouvement des plus variées (Kung-Fu, Cunningham, Release, Flying Low, escalade, volley-ball, ballet etc.). Ils ont rencontré une large palette d’artistes, leurs idées et leurs processus de création (Jonathan Burrows, Lia Rodrigues, Eugénie Rebetez, Foofwa d’Imobilité, Gregory Stauffer, David Zambrano, Fabian Barba, Mark Lorimer, Oscar Gómez Mata, Fabrice Mazliah, Ioannis Mandafounis, Gabor Varga …).

Ils ont travaillé dans la forêt en montagne, ont vécu de tout près la Favela da Maré à Rio de Janeiro, ont crée leurs propres pièces et ont dansé « Set and Reset » de Trisha Brown.
Pour leur fin d’études, les étudiants proposeront un programme combiné de deux pièces. Deborah Hay, chorégraphe américaine, membre fondateur du Judson Dance Theater et toujours très influente pour les nouvelles générations, et Alejandro Ahmed, chorégraphe travaillant au Brésil, directeur artistique de la compagnie de danse Grupo Cena 11, créeront tous les deux une pièce de 30 à 40 minutes pour la promotion A composée de 12 étudiants.
