In her last play D’Autres, Tiphanie Bovay-Klameth explored how a community deals with grief while setting up for a gymnastic show. For her newest creation, she uses again a “documentary” without voice-over form in which she’ll play all the characters, creating a snapshot of our society. The play is about a local group’s attempts to create art together, when everything falters around them.
Moments of creation blend with moments of everyday life, where each character fights to maintain a sort of precarious peace, needed for the group to exist. The comedian works from existing figures, reshaping them into stylized characters, through a process of reworking filmed improvised scenes.
The play will be performed at Arsenic and Théâtre Boulimie alternately.

“ … “One more time, to mimic is to love, not to mock.” Insists Tiphanie. One readily believes her. When she imitates her mother’s nervous breakdown, using an empty milk carton to tell all about her general frustration, the scene is bursting with humanity. D’Autres, is all of us and this universality is the key to her success.”

Biography
Tiphanie Bovay-Klameth was born in Lausanne in 1984. She trained as an actress at La Manufacture from 2004 to 2007.
In 2008, she joined the world of Les Deschiens and performed in Salle des Fêtes by Macha Makeïeff and Jérôme Deschamps.
Within the 2b company, she worked with director François Gremaud (RE, in 2009). Together with Gremaud and Michèle Gurtner, she founded the collective GREMAUD / GURTNER / BOVAY. As a trio, they created KKQQ at Les Urbaines, Récital at Arsenic, and were associate artists of the FAR Festival in Nyon with Présentation. They went on to create Chorale, Western Dramedies, Les Potiers, Vernissage and Les Sœurs Paulin at Arsenic and at the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris, later presenting the full cycle in a collaboration between the CCS and the Centre Pompidou. They then created Pièce at Vidy-Lausanne and La Magnificité at Arsenic.
On stage, Tiphanie Bovay-Klameth has collaborated with, among others, Joël Maillard, Léa Pohlhammer, Kyian Khoshoie, Charlotte Dumartheray, Joëlle Fontannaz, Guillaume Béguin, and Delphine Abrecht.
In film and television, she has acted under the direction of Bruno Deville, Laetitia Dosch, Lionel Rupp, Paul Walther, and Robin Chessex.
Alongside this, she has extensive experience as an improviser with Cie du Cachot, Lausanne-Impro, Improlabo, and was part of the Swiss professional improvisation team with which she competed in the World Cup. She also performed with Paris Impro and won the Cup with the Trocadéro team in 2018. In addition, she teaches devised-theatre and collective writing workshops to young actors as part of their professional training.
In 2017, she founded the TBK Company to develop her own projects and premiered her first solo show, D’Autres. She received the François Silvant Prize and opened the Swiss Selection in Avignon in 2018. In 2019, the Vaud Cultural Foundation awarded her the Theatre Prize.
In 2024, the TBK Company created CARTON, a bingo-performance in which all prizes are immaterial and offered by artists.
