A unique slideshow documenting two long-haired trans men falling madly in love. Over the course of one year, the artist couple Samira Elagoz & Z Walsh gathered photographs from real-life events such as their first kiss, meeting each other’s parents, long-distance thirst traps, a beach wedding, and top surgery and its subsequent recovery. A sweet and steamy celebration of T4T love with life and art all tangled up.

Intention
“Our intention with this work is to show a real story that depicts trans love and intimacy with authenticity and joy that is rarely visible. Our short captures our almost teenageesque love story, evoking the visceral memory of how it feels to fall in love. It also showcases the intensity of trans relationships — we meet and fall in love, as any other couple would, but then have to navigate these profound, life-changing events, such as surgery, together. In a world where such stories are frequently obscured, we aim to celebrate transmasculinity and queer love.”
