MARCHEPIED Cie is a platform for emerging dancers. They are presenting their two latest creations. J’IRAI DANSER AU-DESSUS DES VAGUES (I will be dancing above the waves), a sensorial immersion at the heart of uncertainty. And NOUS AUTRE (the rest of us) a piece that explores the idea that when everything is paradoxical, the community reassures, nourishes, and thrives for its own force.
J’IRAI DANSER AU-DESSUS DES VAGUES (I will be dancing above the waves) is an experience where dancing becomes a sensitive exploration tool: the dancers, eyes closed, move through an internal space, resonating with the uncertainty of the time we live in. In a world oversaturated by stimuli and contradictory speeches, the removal of their sight creates a finer perceptive sense, where meet sensitivity, resistance, and a need to find one’s anchor.
NOUS AUTRE Everything is a paradox. The collective reassures, nourishes, and thrives for its own force. Nevertheless, under this shared aura, a stranglehold is forming. One that dissolves individuality, removes the singularities that shape US. Inconspicuously, the performer takes on oneself ANOTHER’s individuality. A dependent body, buried in the crowd. In an existential jolt, one starts looking to reconquer their independence through drastically personal acts.
