Jean-Baptiste Roybon works on a form which he calls documented – rather than documentary – theatre. Fascinated by the different ways of leading an interview, he has made this practice into his raw material. Under his direction, the students of the class of 2020 delved into the building that hosts the Teintureries and which, seen from above, has the shape of a cruise ship docked at port. They sought out encounters with the inhabitants of this ship in order to interview them, learning on the spot how to collect forms of intimate speech.
