Jewels, ornaments, baroque inspirations, everything is opulent in this Antechamber. In Versailles, the waiting areas were called “Antechamber”. They were heavily adorned and decorated with elaborated tapestries, paintings and sculptures. The goal intended to impress the guests and convey the richness and power of the French monarchy.

Antichambre is a performance and art installation at the heart of which reigns supreme and charms Élie Autin. She commemorates the bacchanals of the past and plays out a new ritual of power and seduction. In the waiting room, the audience’s eyes fly over and glide past an inaccessible figure. In its center, the performer attacks, flirts and devours dreams of power and subjugation.
