In 2015, the Albanian-Italian choreographer Glen Çaçi created the performance KK (Kommunist Kids) in which he interviewed his brother – who, following their immigration to Europe in the 90s, was questioning their feelings of belonging – in order to rebuild together a spectral Albanian identity. In this new creation, Glen Çaçi is interviewed in turn by a stranger on the subject of his new adopted home, Lausanne. Playing around with answers to immutable questions, he faces new aspects of his experience. From his lost Albanian heritage to the strange feeling of following the rise of worldwide nationalisms from “outside Europe”, not to mention the repetition of history, he proposes a political and performative reflection on territorial property and cultural identity.

Glen Caci is an albanian-italian performer, guitarist and choreographer , translator and war reporter in ‘99. As a performer he has worked with Motus in the shows Nella Tempesta and King Arthur. As a choreographer he won the Premio Equilibrio with his first piece Hospice, followed by The fall of sleep, Kommunist Kids (KK), Tutorial, and Artificious. In 2016, Kommunist Kids (KK) has been selected by the NID (New Italian Dance Platform) and toured after in important european festivals. Since 2017, he is based in Lausanne where he dedicates his time to learning cooking techniques and The Unfinished Project, a hub for multidisciplinary projects and artists.
