The city of Lausanne is partnering with L'Arsenic to offer the Jeudis de L'Arsenic as part of its CultureDebout! programme.

This summer, the Arsenic offers a diverse artistic program through its new format: Arsenic Thursdays. Every Thursday, artists, performers, dancers, comedians and djs take over the Arsenic café for an evening of music and performance starting at 5:00 pm. During the evening, the café offers its usual drink menu and several small meals.
Visual artist Gilles Furtwängler, living and working between Johannesburg and Lausanne, will present a performance for Arsenic Thursdays featuring a selection of texts from 2011 to the present. Member of the contemporary art center Circuit in Lausanne and artists group Makrout Unité in Switzerland, he is also the founder of the spoken words show “Revenir et Dire Ça” on the internet radio DUUU* based in Paris.
Born in Johannesburg and based in Zurich, dj Tracey September aka youngseptember will host the evening with a dj set with experimental and afrofuturist sounds.
