Spectacle au théâtre 2.21

  • 75’

Conception et interprétation: Margot Van Hove. Mise en scène: Floriane Mésenge. Scénographie: Fleur Bernet. Création lumière: Théo Serez. Administration: Sarah Frund. Premier Prix PREMIO 2019. Coproduction: Arsenic – Centre d’art scénique contemporain. Soutien: Ville de Lausanne.

Off-site performance, in the context of the Singuliers Pluriel festival at the 2.21. “From the legacy of our mothers and grandmothers, from the little girls that we were, via certain mythological figures that hold us and imprison us in places within our society. They won’t leave us alone…” Arsenic, in collaboration with the Singuliers Pluriel festival at the 2.21, proposes Margot Van Hove’s first solo, whose chameleonlike performance talents are equaled only by her desire to rip into female stereotypes. From the hysteric to the whore, possessed by Medusa, Mary, Mata Hari or Lolita, her virtuoso whirlwind – winner of the 2019 PREMIO prize – shatters the uneasy limits of the prudishness of theatrical representation.
