UN ABRI is a unique theatrical artistic project that attempts to respond as best it can to the essential needs of gathering, meeting, dialogue and collective creation around the fundamental theme of identity. In residence at the Arsenic for the entire 20-21 season, the project began in October 2020 and culminates, one year later, in a performative installation. The residency was divided into five two-week artistic workshops during which Mouad Bouyado, Pauline Fries, Diana Maatouk, Noa Nacleiro, Samira Sido, Mamadou Harouna Sow and Eliseu Ukivana were invited to work on the major “ingredients of theatre”, i.e. costume, text and music, set design, acting, and finally installation and public performances. UN ABRI is a place where all the participants have fully devised the costumes, texts and set.
