Imagine looking at one image that needs to be re-shaped, re-lived, re-born, re-main. Like separating scent layers that make up a fragrance, Untitled (sequences) is a deconstruction over four evenings. The character of PRICE echoes a product – of, for, about, through, and resisting time. Invested in the construction of sincere affect without interest in authenticity, PRICE and his extensive roster of collaborators reorganise and present accumulated materials. The force of language performs a deception of affect, drawing attention to the scenario as a technological prosthetic.
PRICE, Ivan Cheng, Thibault Lac, Tiran display a set of five solos in succession, each similar to the other. The stage is entered as a site of sense memory. The audience has the opportunity to get a closer look at the individual, beyond witnessing the group.
