One cannot decolonize without destroying. The main intention of this intensive space for desculonizacion is to question among all participants the power relations and dynamics that steal our daily lives and leave marks inscribed in our corporealities. Through intense perreo we are looking for: liberation, lubrication and integralization of the mind, body and ass. That is to say, not to be afraid to use it, modify it, or transgress its normalized uses and purposes.
In an effort to recode corporealities through the opening of the senses, something that happens on dance floors in worldwide centers and peripheries, the artists and DJ Kebra (Br-Mx) proposes that we experience a guided sound narrative that values perreo as a ritual, and seeks to elevate its political and emotional force.

kebra is a Brazilian DJ, performer, indisciplined dancer and visual artist. Known for being the creator of the third world movement “Desculonización”. A dissident and practical platform that activates memory through movement. Her work is a continuous experimentation from the end of this colonial world, by and across visions that transcend the fictional barriers of patriarchy. For kebra, the heritage of music from the Latin diaspora resists in the energetic rhythms of baile funk and any style that can be absorbed by the hips and the heart. Invoking ritual memories, she inscribes Abya Yala on the skin, making sweat his personal sign of liberation. Originally from Uruana, Goiás, Brazil, she alternates her life between her hometown and Mexico City.
In the last few years she has translated her research in publications, choreographic installation, dj sets, conferences, workshops, performances, video. In addition to performing and programming at music venues, she has curated the Mexico City – based Anormal Festival (2016-2019) and is currently co-curator of the the performance program at the FdS Festival, Lausanne Switzerland.”
